NCCCF's latest ROUNDTABLE

The most recent Networking with the Network event was held on August 31, 2021. Host Shannon Hill asked several questions generating some interesting dialogue. Some of the insights and challenges participants expressed were:

  1. Foundation Board development and participation,
  2. staffing issues,
  3. changing college leadership and
  4. balancing having events and programs in person and/or virtually.

When asked the priorities this year for fundraising there were four major focus areas:

  1. naming of buildings outside, inside, and equipment,
  2. growing scholarship endowments,
  3. funding new equity initiatives, and
  4. providing emergency aid.

Lastly, when asked what programs would be helpful for future Roundtables, there was a range of ideas such as:

  • - how to engage alumni, faculty, staff, and retirees,
  • - how to run a comprehensive campaign, and
  • - how to do it all as a shop of one.

Please contact co-chairs of the Professional Development Committee Shannon Hill or Sonbol Aliabadi for any future topics that would help you achieve your goals and engage with your peers.
